Version 1.1 — May 2026

Pure Publishing is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our website or services. Pure Publishing is a trading name owned and operated by Jonathan Relf, based in St Leonards-on-Sea, Hastings, East Sussex. For the purposes of data protection law, Jonathan Relf is the data controller.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect information you give us directly, such as your name, email address, phone number, and business details when you fill in our contact form, book a consultation, or engage us for services. We also collect any information you provide during the course of a project. Information collected automatically when you visit our website includes your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and how you arrived at our site.

When you use the AI chatbot on our website, your conversation may be reviewed by our team if it reaches three or more messages. This helps us improve the quality of our service and understand what visitors are looking for. We do not store chatbot conversations long-term. When you use our free AI tools (such as the AI Business Audit or AI Assistant Builder), the information you enter is processed in real time to generate your results. We do not store this data after your session ends.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to respond to your enquiries and provide the services you have requested, to build and maintain your AI solutions and websites, to send you project updates and relevant correspondence, to improve our website and services, and to comply with our legal obligations. We will never sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

Under UK GDPR, we process your personal data on the following lawful bases: contractual necessity where processing is necessary to deliver the services you have engaged us for; legitimate interests where we have a genuine business reason to process your data provided this does not override your rights; consent where you have given us clear consent such as opting in to marketing communications, which you may withdraw at any time; and legal obligation where we need to process your data to comply with the law.

4. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information with third-party service providers who help us deliver our services, such as hosting providers like Vercel, email service providers like Resend, AI providers like Anthropic, analytics providers such as Google (Google Analytics) for understanding how visitors use our website, and Meta (Facebook Pixel) for measuring the effectiveness of our advertising and enabling retargeted advertising to visitors who have previously used our website. These providers only process your data on our instructions and are required to keep it secure. We do not share your personal information with any other third parties unless required by law or with your explicit consent.

5. How We Store and Protect Your Data

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected. If you cancel your services, we will delete your project data within 90 days of the end of your contract unless you request otherwise or we are required to keep it for legal reasons.

6. Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies. Essential cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off. Google Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website, including which pages are visited and how long visitors stay. This data is anonymised and does not identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. The Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel) is used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and to show relevant advertisements to people who have previously visited our website. This pixel may collect data about your browsing behaviour on our site and share it with Meta for advertising purposes. You can manage your Meta ad preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences. You can control all cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the website.

7. Your Rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to request correction of inaccurate data, to request deletion of your data subject to legal obligations, to object to or restrict processing of your data, to request a copy of your data in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hello@purepublishing.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. AI Solutions and Customer Data

Where we build AI solutions that handle your customers' data, we act as a data processor on your behalf. You remain the data controller for your customers' data. We will process that data only in accordance with your instructions and applicable data protection laws. We recommend that you have your own privacy policy in place informing your customers how their data is handled.

9. Links to Other Websites

Our website may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.

10. Children's Data

Our services are designed for businesses and are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Changes to This Policy
